Neurology (derived from greek words neuron - "nerve" and logia -
"science") is the science of the illnesses of the central nervous
system (brain and spinal cord) and peripheral nervous system
(peripheral nerves and muscles). The border to the psychiatry is
partly fluent. In other words, the neurology deals more with the
hardware, the psychiatry more with the software.
Neurologic diseases may present with a variety of symptoms for example weakness and paralysis, numbness, tingling and sensory loss, gait and balance disorders, dizziness and vertigo, syncope's and fainting, disorders of vision, smell, taste and hearing, dysphagia, disorders of speech, memory loss and confusion and at least headache, back and neck pain
